- 1 Whoever puts away near the most high God
- sits in the shadow of the Almighty.
- 2 He says the LORD: "You are my shelter,
- you protect me with power,
- you are my God, I trust in you. "
- 3 Yes, God shall deliver thee from the snares of the hunter,
- it heals fever that kills.
- 4 He cover you with his wings,
- and you refugees near him
- like a chick under the wing of his mother.
- Yes, his loyalty protects you as a shield.
- 5 Then you will fear nothing:
- or hazard night,
- or arrows shot in broad daylight,
- 6 nor the pestilence that juts out into the darkness,
- or the misfortune that struck in broad daylight.
- 7 Even if a thousand people get close to you,
- and if ten thousand die next to you,
- nothing will happen to you!
- 8 Opens eyes only,
- and see how bad people are punished.
- 9 - Yes, Lord, you are my protector.
- If you have chosen the Most High God as a shelter,
- 10 no evil can touch you,
- no evil can approach your house.
- 11 The LORD will order his angels
- protect you wherever you go.
- 12 They shall bear thee in their arms,
- that your feet do not hit the rocks.
- 13 You will walk safely on the lion and the viper,
- you bruise and tiger snakes.
- 14 God says: "Since it clings to me, I will release him,
- I will protect him, because he knows my name.
- 15 If appealed to me, I will answer him,
- I will be with him in misfortune.
- I want to deliver and I want to honor him.
- 16 I give him a long and beautiful,
- and I will show him that I am her savior. "
